If You Have A Daughter In UNN, Call Her And Hold Her Ear – Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has called on parents with daughters at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, to engage in conversations about prioritizing their safety.

He expressed concerns about various incidents occurring on campus, alleging that the university administration is attempting to cover them up.

Gwamnishu recounted the tragic case of a 17-year-old girl named Joy Eze, who went to class and never came home. Her body was found the next day, showing signs of severe violence.

He noted that this is not an isolated incident, recalling how another girl was lured from the university to retrieve an item, only to be kidnapped, along with another young man who was also taken from the school.

“‘If you have a daughter in UNN, call her and hold her ears. A lot of things are happening in that school and the school authority are not doing enough to see how they can manage it, and the ones happening, they cover it up. This girl went for lecture and never returned back. If you have a child in that school, caution them. Talk to them!’”
