The victims who tragically lost their lives in the petrol tanker explosion in Majia Town, Jigawa State, have been interred in a mass grave.
Late Tuesday night, a tanker transporting petrol lost control and exploded, causing significant destruction in the area.
State Police Spokesperson Shi’isu Adam confirmed the incident, stating that the tanker driver was traveling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State when the accident occurred near Khadija University in Majiya Town.
Adam detailed that the driver lost control of the vehicle around 11:30 PM, leading to a catastrophic explosion that affected many people at the scene.
