Soldiers Shoot Dead Bandits Trying To Collect N1.5 Million Ransom In Kaduna

Soldiers have neutralized two bandits attempting to collect a N1.5 million ransom for four abducted victims in Mai-Iddo village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The four captives, three females and a child, were taken from a farm last week and have since been rescued by the troops.

A community leader confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. He explained that the two bandits were killed after their leader directed them to a location where a relative of the abducted victims was supposed to deliver the ransom.

“As two of the bandits came out to pick the ransom, the troops opened fire at them and killed the two of them instantly.”

He also noted that the rescued victims have been reunited with their families.
