Bishop David Olatunji Abioye and Bishop Thomas Aremu, Vice Presidents of the Living Faith Church, are set to conclude their service in the Liberation Commission, also known as Living Faith Church Worldwide, in October 2024, in accordance with the Mandate, the operational manual of the organization.
A recent announcement indicates that Bishop Thomas Aremu’s valedictory service will be held at LFC Basorun, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Additionally, sources confirm that Bishop David Abioye’s valedictory service is scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, in Durumi, Abuja.
Bishop Abioye, who first met Bishop Oyedepo in 1979, has been a close associate since then and was appointed to lead one of the five pioneer branches in 1987. He was consecrated in 1993 at the Garden of Faith in Barnawa, Kaduna, becoming the youngest Bishop of a fully-fledged church in recorded history at age 32.
In contrast, Bishop Aremu transitioned to full-time ministry after a career as an accountant in secular organizations. He is the only one of the seven Bishops consecrated in November 1999 at the Garden of Faith in Kaduna to remain with the church to this day. According to the revised Mandate, the retirement age has changed from 60 to 58. Only the Founder will have the privilege of a lifetime of service, while all future leaders of the Commission will serve a maximum of two terms of seven years each, pending Board of Trustees approval.
This transition marks a new chapter in the development of this young church, which is less than five decades old. Jesus is Lord!
