Police Arrests Four Suspected Criminals, Recovers Stolen Vehicle In Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command has apprehended four individuals suspected of armed robbery and recovered a stolen vehicle in the Karu Local Government Area.

On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the arrests, identifying the suspects as Salim Hussain, Abdulkadir Musa, and Dimas Danja, who were taken into custody by operatives from the Maraba ‘A’ Division. Another suspect, Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, was arrested in the New Karu Area.

According to Nansel, the suspects admitted to being part of a gang responsible for numerous robberies in Mararaba and surrounding areas. During the initial operation, police recovered a fabricated rifle, a knife, and criminal charms. “The Commissioner of Police has called on the owner of the stolen vehicle to visit the New Karu Area Command with proof of ownership to claim the recovered vehicle,” the statement concluded, highlighting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat crime in the region.
