Chris Nkwonta, the House of Representatives member for Ukwa East/West in Abia State, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement was made by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during a plenary session in Abuja on Wednesday.
