Assistant Secretary General Calls for DSS Investigation of Former Ogun Governor

Olumide Ohunayo, the Assistant Secretary General of the Aviation Safety Roundtable Initiative, has urged the Department of State Services (DSS) to question former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun regarding the controversial agreement with Chinese firm Zhongshang Fucheng Industrial Investment Ltd.

Ohunayo criticized the poorly drafted agreement, alleging that it reflects a “vote of no confidence” in the Nigerian judiciary. He expressed concerns that the Chinese firm may not have received a fair trial if it had filed a lawsuit in Nigeria.

In an interview with News Central, Ohunayo highlighted the impact of poorly drafted agreements on the aviation sector. He emphasized the need for sacrosanct agreements and an independent judiciary.

“Governor Amosun should be with the DSS right now instead of engaging in online debates,” Ohunayo stated. “We must address our sense of agreement and ensure that legal counsel thoroughly reviews them to prevent similar situations in the future.”...Read Full Article [Click Here>]

Ohunayo added that the Chinese firm’s reluctance to seek legal recourse in Nigeria underscores the need for a fair and efficient judicial system.
