Inyang Muffat, a 49-year-old man from Lagos State, has faced legal trouble after allegedly relocating his children to his hometown in Akwa Ibom without informing his wife.
The incident occurred on October 30, 2023, at Alhaji Azeez Street in Oshodi, Lagos. Following a domestic dispute, Muffat secretly moved their children while his wife was at work.
Upon returning home, she discovered the children were missing and confronted her husband, who revealed he had taken them to their village and left them with relatives.

She insisted on having the children returned to Lagos. The police instructed Muffat to bring the children back, but after being released on bail, he failed to comply.
Subsequently, Muffat was rearrested and charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
He pleaded not guilty, and the presiding magistrate granted him bail under specific conditions. The case is set for mention on October 16, 2024.
