The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria (CBCN), the apex decision-making body for the Catholic Church in Nigeria, will hold its second plenary session. The gathering, scheduled to commence on Thursday at the Auchi Catholic Diocese in Edo State, will bring together approximately 180 Reverend Fathers.
Rev. Fr. Peter Egielewa, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, announced the event in a statement released in Benin. He cited the words of Bishop Gabriel Dunia of the Auchi Diocese, who emphasized the importance of the CBCN as the highest authority within the Nigerian Catholic Church.
