Activist Aisha Yesufu has voiced her concerns regarding the ongoing dispute between the Falana family and social critic Very Dark Man (VDM).
She argues that if renowned lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Folarin Falana, known as Falz, allow the situation to go unaddressed, it may suggest they are guilty of the serious allegations presented in a recent audio recording.
VDM released an audio that allegedly features crossdresser Bobrisky claiming that Falz contacted him, indicating that his father, Femi Falana, could help secure a presidential pardon for a sum of 10 million naira. Both Falana and Falz have demanded an immediate retraction and public apology from VDM, who refuses to back down, claiming he merely sought to expose allegations for investigation.
Yesufu expressed her thoughts on X, stating, “If the Falanas let this go unchallenged, the same people will say that they are guilty of what they are accused of.” She emphasizes that addressing defamation does not detract from combating corruption, urging for a balanced approach to both issues.
