Why Bruno Fernandes Will Return Early To Man United From International Duty

Bruno Fernandes will return early to Manchester United from international duty with his country, Portugal. The Red Devils captain was on the scoresheet in Portugal’s 5-1 win over Polan on Friday, November 15.

Fernandes has been ever present at Man United since his arrival in January 2020 and has become a key player on the team. The 30-year-old played 90 minutes against Poland as his country booked a spot in the Nations League quarter-final.

In the 25th minute of the game, Fernandes was shown a yellow card. This, coupled with another yellow against Scotland in September, will see him serve a one-match ban, per 90min.

Portugal face Croatia on Monday, so Fernandes will not be involved. His return will be a big boost for new Man United coach Ruben Amorim, who will start preparing the team for his first match.

Fernandes has not had a brilliant start to the season, but he ended his scoring drought in the Premier League by scoring against Leicester. He has four goals and seven assists in 17 matches in all competitions, per Transfermarkt....Read Full Article [Click Here>]

He has played every game in the Premier League this season and will likely be a starter in Amroim’s first game.

Like Amorim, Fernandes joined Man United from Sporting CP and has become a crucial player for every coach in the last few years.

As NigeriaMedia reported earlier, the midfielder hopes his compatriot can bring the same energy he did at his former club and help Man United become champions again.
