New Man United Head Coach Reportedly Wants Club To Get Rid Of Striker

Manchester United’s new coach, Ruben Amorim, is reportedly looking to eliminate striker Joshua Zirkzee. The Dutch attacker only arrived at Old Trafford in the summer but has only registered one goal this season.

The Red Devils acquired the 23-year-old from Bologna for £36.5 million but are yet to justify the price tag. According to Italian outlet Tuttosport via Metro Sports, the English giants are considering parting ways with Zirkzee as early as January.

The report adds that Juventus are interested in signing the striker on loan and talks over a possible move are underway.

This report comes when Man United are increasingly linked with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres, Amorim’s former player. However, the Portuguese coach ruled out signing any of his former players in January.

Zirkzee scored on his debut against Fulham on the opening day of the season but has yet to find the net since. Many hope Amorim can rejuvenate him when his spell starts on November 24.
