Ruben Amorim is settling at Manchester United following his appointment as coach in place of Erik ten Hag.
The former Sporting CP boss will be in the dugout for the first time on November 24, when the team plays Ipswich in the Premier League. Club captain Bruno Fernandes has shared his thoughts on Amorim and his expectations for his compatriot.
The Portuguese attacking midfielder will be crucial for Amorim during the transition period. In the last few years, he has been arguably the club’s best player.

“We hope that he can come, and this is the right moment for him to come and bring his energy, bring his qualities and his knowledge of football, because he’s done something really, really special at Sporting,” Fernandes told Man United’s website.
Fernandes is also hoping Amorim can end the club’s Premier League drought which now stands at 10 years.
“So hopefully he can do the same here for us and [hopefully] it’s going to be a successful time for all of us.”
Man United are 13th in the Premier League after 11 games, and fans expect him to get the team to the top four this season.
Despite sitting in midtable, they are four points from the top four, which is encouraging news for Amorim.
