Veteran actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo or Agbako, who recently celebrated his 102nd birthday, has passed away.
NigeriaMedia reports that his death was announced by his colleague, Jide Kosoko, through a post on Instagram on Thursday.
Kosoko did not provide details about the circumstances of Agbako’s passing.

Born on February 19, 1923, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Agbako started as a mechanic and amateur boxer before launching his acting career in 1953 at the Apostolic Church in Mushin, Lagos State.
Agbako became a well-known figure, particularly in the Yoruba film industry, where he starred in many popular films such as Taxi Driver, Jagun, Amin Orun, Aiye, Jayesinmi, Soworo Ide, and Igbo Dudu.
With a career spanning more than four decades, he left a lasting legacy of versatility and dedication to the craft of acting.
