Ayelala, Sango Priests Lay Curses On Burglars Of Yet-To-Be Commissioned Police Station In Edo (Video)

Some priests in Benin, representing the Ayelala and Sango deities, have invoked curses on burglars who broke into an uncommissioned police station in Ugbineh village, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State, stealing furniture and electrical fittings.

Following a request from village elders, the priests performed the necessary rituals, laying a strong curse on the thieves. The followers of Ayelala and Sango, who also serve as village healers, marched around the village, invoking curses and asking God and ancestors to bear witness after conducting animal sacrifices at key locations.

Elder Pa. Sunday Iyoha expressed concern that the theft occurred just before the project was set to be inaugurated, intended to address security issues in the area. โ€œAs we were planning to inaugurate the project, criminals invaded the police station and vandalized equipment in the building, including electrical cables,โ€ he stated.

Another village elder, Omoruyi Uhunoma, emphasized the elders’ decision to punish those responsible for the ongoing violence and crime in the region.
