A man has been shot by police after stabbing multiple people inside an Illinois Toyota car dealership.
The assailant attacked multiple other people inside the Brian Bemis Toyota dealership on Sycamore Road. Police in DeKalb County repeatedly ordered the assailant to put down the knife, and opened fire when he refused
City Manager Bill Nicklas said while multiple staff suffered stab wounds, none of the injuries were life-threatening.
‘DeKalb police responded to a call where a person was wielding a knife and stabbing employees,’ Nicklas told the Daily Chronicle in DeKalb County.

One of the injured employees received a stab wound “to an extremity,” according to NBC Chicago.
The alleged suspect was taken to hospital. His condition was listed as stable and he was expected to survive.
According to Police, the assailant was not a staff member or employee of the dealership, and was armed with multiple knives.
