The Football Association (FA) has formally charged both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur for their failure to ensure that their players refrained from exhibiting behavior deemed “improper and/or provocative” in relation to the incident resulting in a red card.
Kudus received a red card due to violent conduct during the second half of West Ham United’s Premier League match, which resulted in a 4-1 loss against Tottenham.
The Ghanaian international was initially penalized with a yellow card by referee Andy Madley after he seemingly directed a kick towards Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven, subsequently pushing the Dutch defender in the facial region.
The 24-year-old further escalated the situation by pushing Tottenham’s Pape Mate Sarr in the face, prompting Video Assistant Referee (VAR) Chris Kavanagh to advise Madley to reassess the incidents via the on-screen monitor.

An infraction classified as violent conduct carries a minimum suspension of three matches; however, the current charge introduces the potential for additional disciplinary measures.
On Tuesday, the English Football Association (FA) formally charged West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus in light of his red card incident against Tottenham Hotspur during the recent Premier League encounter.
Nevertheless, the FA announced on Tuesday that Kudus has been charged for allegedly engaging in conduct “in an improper manner and/or exhibiting violent behavior” subsequent to the issuance of the red card.
Consequently, all three parties involved are required to submit their responses to the charges by Thursday.
