Ruben Amorim has given his first interview as Manchester United Boss. The Portuguese coach made many interesting comments on his tactics, vision and immediate plan for his first game as boss.
The 39-year-old will coach his first game next weekend against Ipswich away from home. The Red Devils have made a poor start to the season and are currently 13th in the Premier League. Surprisingly, they are just four points off the top four.
Amorim’s promise to Man United fans
Amorim has been conducting meetings and meeting players this week as he waits for his work visa, which will allow him to start working on the training ground next week.
In his first interview, the former Sporting CP coach said fans can expect to see an identity in his new team while also stressing the importance of character.
“The character of the players. So we have to focus on that before the everything of how we play, how we press. The most important thing for me at this moment is to create the principles, the identity and the character that we had in the past,” he said via Manchester Evening News.
“How to play, how to press, these small things, small details. You cannot go 100 per cent on every detail because it will be confusing for the players. So if I have to say one thing, my main goal, my first goal, is identity.”

Moreover, the Red Devils are looking for their first Premier League title since 2013, and many fans hope he will bring back the magic at Old Trafford.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Amorim briefly described how Manchester United could play when he takes charge for his first game.
He stressed that he wants his team to play “without fear”, meaning we will see a much more attacking style at Old Trafford.
