Ruben Amorim has officially begun his role at Manchester United after his appointment nearly two weeks ago.
On Tuesday, the former Sporting CP boss met with Man United players who are recovering from injury, with most of the squad on international duty or holiday. Amorim will coach his first game on November 24 after the conclusion of the final international break of the year.
According to Manchester Evening News, Amorim arrived at Carrington training complex on Tuesday afternoon and was received by chief executive Omar Berrada, sporting director Dan Ashworth and technical director Jason Wilcox.
The 39-year-old coach warmly embraced Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount, Kobbie Mainoo and Toby Collyer.
All these players have been recovering from injury. Mount, Shaw and Yoro are close to returning to action. Amorim also met the club’s staff.
