In a recent statement, Senator Ishaku Abbo has argued that Nigerian President Bola Tinubu cannot be solely blamed for the current challenges facing the northern region.
He claim that many northern leaders approached Tinubu, negotiating primarily for personal interests rather than advocating on behalf of the broader northern community. Abbo shared his reservation in Yola during an interaction with journalists.

On his political ambition to contest for the governorship of the state come 2027, he disclosed that he is still making consultations with stakeholders and that he will soon make a public declaration on his ambition after he concludes his consultations.
