Four workers were burnt beyond recognition in a fire that engulfed a lounge and bar along Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos State.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the State Police Command, confirmed the incident, stating that a distress call was received around 7:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, reporting that a fire had broken out at approximately 7:45 a.m.

According to Hundeyin, the fire affected the entire building and was eventually extinguished. He added, “Investigation revealed that four yet-to-be identified staff of the company got burnt beyond recognition in the fire. Their corpses were evacuated to Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) morgue at Yaba.”
