This tragic incident involving a man named Charles, a father of nine, occurred in the Jeddo community of Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State.
According to reports from the Nigerian Tribune, Charles allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance, believed to be sniper, at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024.
After ingesting the substance at his home, Charles proceeded to Ugbokodo, where his in-laws live, and tragically passed away shortly afterward.

Reports suggest that his decision to take his own life may have been linked to personal issues, including the unceremonious departure of his wife following a heated argument.
Despite efforts by Charles and mutual friends to reconcile, his wife reportedly refused to return to the marriage.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, said he has not been officially informed of the case.
