Alhaji Isah Daya, the district head of Kanya in the Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, has been abducted by bandits. The attack occurred on Saturday, October 5, 2024, when the bandits stormed his village, kidnapping the monarch along with eight others.
During the assault, one person was killed, and three others were injured. The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Nafui Abubakar, confirmed the incident, naming the deceased as Sherriff Alhaji Almu.
According to the PPRO, a combined security team led by the police has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers to rescue those who were abducted.
