A man in Huizhou, north of Hong Kong, found himself in a bizarre and dangerous situation after picking a fight with a 6.6-foot python while intoxicated on his way home from the pub.
Witnesses reported that he encountered the snake and, emboldened by alcohol, began to tease the creature in front of his friends. Unfortunately, the python quickly coiled around him, demonstrating its strength.
Unable to communicate how he ended up ensnared due to his drunken state, the man was in serious trouble when his friends called the fire department for assistance.
Firefighters arrived promptly to find the man caught in the python’s grip. Using catch poles, they were able to pry the snake off him before it could cause serious harm.
Footage from the scene shows the man struggling on the ground as the snake wrapped around him. Once freed, the firefighters secured the reptile in a sack for transport. Remarkably, the intoxicated man refused medical assistance and left the scene with his friends.
