Edo State Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, visited the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, at the Imo State Government House in Owerri on Wednesday. Joining him were his deputy-elect, Honourable Dennis Idahosa, Senator Adams Oshiomhole (Edo North), and Edo State APC Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe.
During the visit, Okpebholo expressed gratitude for the divine blessings he received and acknowledged the support from both the Oba of Benin, Ewuare II, and Governor Uzodimma, whom he credited for his recent victory in the September 21 governorship election.
“We contested the election by God’s grace and emerged victorious. I’m here with our leader, Adams Oshiomhole, my deputy, and the state APC chairman to say a big thank you. Governor Uzodimma, who serves as Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, expressed his pleasure in welcoming Okpebholo and committed to supporting him as he begins his journey to deliver effective governance for Edo citizens. He encouraged the new governor to live up to the trust the people placed in him during the election.
