BREAKING: Court Summons Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello Over N110.4bn Fraud Charges

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama has issued a public summons against former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello in connection with a significant N110.4 billion fraud case.

The court has mandated that Bello appear in court to respond to a fresh 16-count charge on October 24, alongside two co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu.

The summons was ordered by Justice Maryanne Anenih during a ruling on Thursday, following a request from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC reported challenges in serving the charges to Bello, which were filed on September 24.
