Boko Haram Slaughter Farmers In Borno Hours After Tinubu, Zulum Assured Of Security

In a tragic incident highlighting ongoing insecurity in Nigeria, Boko Haram terrorists slaughtered five farmers in Ngoshe Community, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

This brutal attack occurred mere hours after President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babagana Zulum delivered Independence Day messages promising enhanced security for farmers in the region.

Sources revealed that the victims were among a group abducted during the raid.
Zarana, a dedicated member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), also lost his life while attempting to protect his community.

A local source stated, “We sorrowfully announce the abduction of about 15 farmers, including children, women, young and elderly, by Boko Haram terrorists in Ngoshe.”...Read Full Article [Click Here>]

The source continued, “The security agents tried their best to protect the people but they could not hold them for long.” In a stark reminder of the challenges faced by residents, the source lamented that while it was a day of celebration for many, for Gwoza’s people, it was a day of “sorrow, despair, helplessness and total dilemma.”

As the community grapples with fear and loss, concerns are raised about the lack of essential support from the government and NGOs, leaving farmers to risk their lives to harvest their crops.
