Dare Glintstone Akinniyi, spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Youth Group, has called on President Bola Tinubu to remove Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), amid reports of a cabinet reshuffle.
In an interview with Legit.ng on September 30, Akinniyi criticized Wike for neglecting his ministerial responsibilities and focusing on political ambitions.
He stated, “He has brought excessive noise and political baggage to this government.”

Akinniyi emphasized that a reshuffle should involve significant changes, suggesting that “80% of Tinubu’s ministers should be sacked,” as many are “mere placeholders.”
He assessed the current administration’s performance as lacking, stating, “What can you make of the entire body, when the head is rotten? Nothing!”
He further urged Tinubu to appoint competent individuals from outside the APC to enhance the government’s effectiveness, asserting, “A few key replacements can turn the tide in favor of the people.”
