Gbogi Emmanuel, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has announced his resignation from the party, citing its failure to uphold democratic principles of fairness and equity.
In a resignation letter dated September 23, 2024, addressed to the Chairman of Ward 6, Akoko South West Local Government, Emmanuel expressed his disillusionment with the party’s current direction.

Emmanuel’s resignation highlights ongoing internal strife within the APC, compounded by a recent political crisis involving Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is navigating a reconciliation agreement mediated by President Bola Tinubu.
