A woman is recovering in the hospital after a failed attempt at the famous “Dirty Dancing” lift left her with a broken nose and missing front teeth. Flo Bragg, 27, was on holiday in Provence, France, when she and her partner decided to recreate the iconic lift made famous by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze.
While they were “bored” at their villa, the couple attempted the lift in their pool. Unfortunately, Flo’s second attempt went horribly wrong, resulting in her crashing face-first into a wall. “I guess we thought it would be funny if we just nailed it,” she recalled, but instead, she ended up with serious injuries.
Her partner initially laughed, but panic set in when Flo cried, “I split my lip, I split my lip! Help, help, help!” He quickly realized she was bleeding, and they rushed to get assistance. Following the accident on September 19, Flo was taken to the hospital, where her teeth were temporarily glued back in place.
Now back in the UK, she is seeking to raise £270 for dental treatment, expressing, “Any money I can raise towards that would be great.”
