The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State have engaged in a war of words over alleged plans to cause violence ahead of the November 16 governorship election.
The Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation accused the PDP of plotting to cause crises, citing the party’s reaction to its defeat in the Edo State governorship election. Kayode Fasua, State Information Director, described the PDP as desperate for power and willing to achieve it through coercion and violence.
Fasua pointed out that the PDP’s statement warning against ballot compromise and tampering with votes deserves investigation, as it signals a plot to unleash crises. He urged security agencies to monitor the PDP’s “war-mongers.”

Fadaka emphasized that rigging is a form of violence and an insult to the electorate, warning the APC to play by the rules.
