Challenges Faced by Zainab’s Family

Zainab, her mother, and younger brother have faced significant hardships since the emir’s passing in 2014. They have been struggling with financial difficulties and lack of stable housing.

Appeal for Assistance

Zainab has appealed to President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and others for support. She has requested assistance in securing a home in Lagos, where they intend to relocate for safety and freedom.

Governor Yusuf has previously provided some financial assistance to the family, but it has not been sufficient to meet their needs. Zainab expressed disappointment that the governor’s offer to purchase a house in Kano did not align with their desire for a home in Lagos.

In addition to seeking support for her family, Zainab Ado Bayero is also pursuing her filmmaking career. She is working on a biographical documentary titled “My Father, the Emir: A Portrait of Ado Bayero,” which aims to honor her father’s legacy.
