Oyo Gov’t Pays N513m Compensation To Land Owners For NAF Base, Other Projects

The Oyo State Government has begun distributing compensation to property owners affected by the development of the Ajia Inukan LCDA, Ona Ara Local Government area.

Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Williams Akin-Funmilayo, announced the commencement of payments at a meeting with claimants. He noted that the government had recently acquired land for the construction of an Air Force Base, General Hospital, and ICT Centre.

To this end, the state government has allocated N513,462,446.50k as compensation for affected property owners. The Commissioner emphasized that this compensation is crucial for building a positive relationship between the government and residents.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Adedokun Olalekan, expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his empathy and concern for Oyo State residents.
